Morten Berger primarily works with dispute resolution and litigation within construction and contract law and has, in addition particular expertise within environmental law.

Morten advices a number of corporations and public institutions in these fields. He has extensive experience with negotiations and the preparation of construction contracts, in addition to dispute resolution matters. His experience includes advising major corporations and international Clients.

Morten is one of Norway’s leading experts on environmental law, a field of the utmost financial and regulatory importance in many industries. He advices clients within a wide range of environmental issues, including questions related to private law and public law responsibility for pollution (in the ground, at sea and in the air) and waste, assisting with emissions licenses, environmental impact assessments, environmental due diligence, contractual regulation of environmental responsibility, neighbour issues related to pollution / noise from construction sites and infrastructure, as well as demands related to businesses’ systematic health-, environment- and safety work. Morten is, as one of the few lawyers in Norway, recommended in the lawyer guide “PLC Which Lawyer?” within environmental law.

In addition to extensive dispute experience within his special areas, Morten has substantial experience as privately appointed defense counsel for businesses accused of breaches of the health-, environment- and safety legislation, leading to criminal corporate responsibility.
