Henrik is a partner in the firm’s Corporate/M&A and Aquaculture and Fisheries practices and has, in particular, extensive experience in private M&A, joint ventures, corporate governance and commercial advisory in general. With over 20 years’ experience, he has developed a broad practice, advising Norwegian and international clients across a range of industry sectors, including open-sea fisheries, shipbuilding, real estate and consumer goods.
He works with investors, boards of directors and senior management in matters relating to strategy, governance and industrial development.
Henrik has been mentioned in the IFLR1000 ranking of leading financial law firms, with clients saying that he “offers efficiency with knowledge and availability”. Combining creativity, high availability and responsiveness, Henrik is a proactive advisor, working closely with his clients to find robust solutions. He is a strong communicator.
Henrik Grung is a member of the board of directors of leading regional bank Sparebanken Møre and was also the chair of the board in SANDS from 2014 till May 2019.
Recent experience includes advising major shareholders in a listed company on a potential take-over offer, providing the board of directors of a listed company with assistance in implementing a corporate governance regime, advising a major Norwegian off-shore shipowner on the restructuring of its debts and advising a major European shipyard on its investments and interests in Norway.
