Silje Marstrander has been working as an associate at SANDS’ office in Oslo since October 2017 and is a part of the firm’s construction department. She works with consulting in building – and construction projects, infrastructure projects, and with dispute resolution for builders, contractors and design and consulting companies. In addition to construction law, Silje has experience with issues related to contract law, competition law and public procurement law.
Silje studied Law at the University of Bergen in 2017. In addition, she has a LL.M.-degree in Competition Law (Master of Laws) from King’s College in London. At King’s College she specialized in EU Competition Law, EU Public Procurement law and Legal Negotiations. Silje wrote a dissertation which was titled ‘Key challenges in reconciling public procurement requirements with competition law in public sector bids’.
While studying, Silje had several internships in different law firms. While being an intern she was primary part of departments working with construction and real estate. In addition, Silje has experience from working with legal aspects of real estate and property development through two internships in advokatene in OBOS. For two years Silje also worked as a section leader and volunteer case handler in the legal department of the cultural center Kvarteret in Bergen.
