Bjørn Tore Steffensen
Steffensen is specialized in expropriation and matters for the Court of appraisment. This includes compulsory purchase regarding the development of new production and transmission facilities for electricity, new transport infrastructure and other public facilities. He advises both major power suppliers, municipalities and private landowners regarding expropriation and matters for the Court of appraisment.
Steffensen further specializes in the legal aspects of real estate, including agents of their obligations in the implementation of a commission and broker's liability. His expertise also covers the regulatory issues related to real estate, including the broker's relationship with FSA. As part of the firm’s Real Estate Group, Steffensen also has considerable expertise and experience in negotiation and formulation of contracts for the purchase, lease and attachment of immovable property, as well as handling of disputes related to such contracts. Steffensen regularly litigates before the Court.
