Caterina Håland Gaeta is a highly experienced litigation lawyer with expertise in commercial disputes and white-collar crime. She is accustomed to handling large and complex litigation matters and is admitted to the Norwegian Supreme Court.

Caterina regularly appears before the courts and in arbitration proceedings, primarily in commercial disputes, board liability and other claims under the Norwegian Companies Act, shareholder disputes, and post-M&A disputes. She also assists insurance companies with litigation, insurance fraud cases, investigations, and second opinions.

Caterina has extensive expertise in white-collar crime, particularly cases involving the Norwegian Securities Trading Act – insider dealing and market manipulation – as well as corruption and environmental crime. She has acted as defence counsel in several of the largest white-collar crime cases in Norway in recent years, and is ranked among the country's leading lawyers in the category.

Her experience with complex litigation and white-collar crime cases makes her a natural adviser for companies in need of strategic guidance and crisis management, including preparation for and conduct of interviews and interrogations.

Caterina has broad international experience and is fluent in six languages. She therefore frequently assists foreign companies in cross-border disputes.

Caterina is the Chair of the Oslo Bar Association, and a member of the legislative committee tasked with proposing reforms to the functioning and procedures of the Courts of Appeal. She regularly lectures on board duties and responsibilities.
