Nicolai Skridshol specializes in investigation and compliance, dispute resolution and litigation. He has extensive experience with Norwegian and international anti-corruption work, inter alia, with British and American corruption legislation such as the UK Bribery Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
Nicolai also has extensive experience in assisting major corporations, organizations and public institutions in their preventative and detective investigations in various jurisdictions, including numerous jurisdictions in Asia, Africa and Europe. In Brazil, he has led several large teams of Norwegian and Brazilian forensic specialists and lawyers. He has in-depth knowledge of the Lava Jato-case (Petrobas). The assignments consisted of carrying out interviews in Portuguese and English, integrity due diligence, review of books and records, analyzing information on economic contributions to political parties and single politicians (political contributions) as well as review of documents such as agreements with agents/intermediaries.
Nicolai assists private and public sector clients with their compliance work, including the preparation and revision of governing documents and implementation of compliance programmes, choice of organizational structure, etc.
He also has more than ten years’ experience with dispute resolution and regularly represents corporate clients before the ordinary courts and in arbitration tribunals.
Nicolai Skridshol has close to five years’ experience as Director in PwC´s Forensic Services department, where he also was head of their anti-corruption services. Prior to this, he was in the law firm, Haavind, where he was head of the investigations group, and a member of the litigation and company law team.
He is a well-reputed sparring partner and trusted advisor for boards, executives and key personnel. He is also a much sought after speaker and lecturer.
