Nicolai Skridshol is head of our Investigation and Compliance department. He is also an experienced specialist in dispute resolution and litigation. He has extensive experience with Norwegian and international anti-corruption work, inter alia, with British and American corruption legislation such as the UK Bribery Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
Nicolai advises major corporations, including the defense industry, organizations and public institutions, in their preventative and detective investigations in numerous jurisdictions in Asia, Africa and Europe. In Brazil, he has led several large teams of Norwegian and Brazilian forensic specialists and lawyers in connection with the Lava Jato-case (Petrobras). The assignments included interviews in Portuguese and English, integrity due diligence, accounting investigations, analyzing information on financial contributions to politicians and political parties as well as reviews of contracts with agents/intermediaries.
Nicolai assists private and public sector clients with their compliance work, including the preparation and revision of governing documents and implementation of compliance programmes, choice of organizational structure, corporate governance policies and processes, etc.
He also has more than ten years’ experience with dispute resolution and regularly represents corporate clients before the ordinary courts and in arbitration tribunals.
Nicolai Skridshol has five years’ experience as Director in PwC´s Forensic Services department, where he also was head of their anti-corruption services. Prior to this, he was in the law firm, Haavind, where he was head of the investigations group, and a member of the litigation and company law team.
He is a well-reputed sparring partner and trusted advisor for boards, executives and key personnel. He is also a much sought after speaker and lecturer.
Nicolai was in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 ranked among Norway’s leading lawyers within the category «Investigation and Compliance» in the Norwegian financial newspaper Finansavisen’s annual ranking of lawyers.
